Energy, we’ve got to have it, but what is the best kind of energy?
As with many questions, it’s less about the answer, and more about who decides. The NOTA Party energy policy is that YOU decide. With only one exception, energy is outside of the Federal government’s jurisdiction, and we leave it to the States or the People to make their own decisions.
The exception is Nuclear Energy. The reason for the exception is the crossover between nuclear energy and national security. That being said, we do encourage private enterprise to pursue nuclear power with the caveat that fuel production and disposal will be managed by the Dept. of Energy.
We have no axe to grind against legacy fuels such as coal or oil, nor do we have any interest in subsidizing these industries. Let the market sort it out.
